Gothe Residency of Arts - Artist Lecture

This year, I had the pleasure of submitting my work 'The Adorning' to The Dark Cornwall and Gothe Residency Of Arts international exhibition. Before the exhibition, I was able to present my practice in an online lecture where I addressed Welsh identity through ruins and relics of the past that shape some of the local lore still shared today.

HMP Pentonville - London Shakespeare workout prison project

I volunteered at HMP Pentonville with the London Shakespeare workshop prison project. The prison did not allow cameras so I was there to draw and document a group of actors and prisoners that were given the opportunity to express themselves through a Shakespearean workout session.

The prison was on lockdown for two days prior, where the inmates were only given one hour out of the twenty four to be free from their cells. The project gave them joy and freedom not only from being confined to a small space, but to also express themselves emotionally and show they are more than people convicted of a crime. They are human. It was a great opportunity to observe and be part of and I hope to be involved again in the future.
